“We’re all too sane. We’re all too serious. We’re all too worried. So I like to come and sprinkle some insanity through your lives and in your minds so that when you leave here you know that crazy is good.”

-Lord Buckley

About Mike:

This insightful and fearless social commentator is so personable and playful in his approach, he’ll not only cross every line that you draw in the sand, but he'll bring you with him and make you happy you came along.

Though actually a true native of Florida, Mike was transported to a small town just south of Atlanta called Newnan, Georgia, to do his growing up. (At least, as much growing up as he's done.)

Mike began as an actor/comedian when he was four years old, staging productions on his Aunt Connie’s back porch. He started working professionally in high school touring a one-man tribute to Groucho Marx which he wrote himself, and even while touring that show, he managed to graduate from Valdosta State University with a BFA in Theatre Performance.

Mike currently lives in Los Angeles, California, with his beautiful and talented wife Bailee DesRocher, where he is a notorious beach bum who enjoys a good sail as much as just lounging on the sand. He has a nearly obsessive fascination with pirates—and did long before Johnny Depp made it cool or Somalia made it uncool—and every year with friends he celebrates Pirate Day, a holiday of his own invention.

When not on the beach, Mike is an avid naturalist, and can be found hiking, rock climbing, or exploring any place there's an adventure to be found. He is also a runner and, as a raw-foodist, is an advocate of healthy eating habits as well.

Also, having spent several years as a dog trainer and animal behaviorist, Mike spends some of his spare time volunteering his training skills with dog rescues and adoption agencies teaching dogs basic manners to hopefully make them more adoptable.

As a comic and improviser, Mike has performed as a feature act and headliner all over the US and Canada. As an actor, Mike is very pleased to have worked with theatres like Seaside Repertory Theatre, the Newnan Theatre Company, Southside Players, and Fayette Theatre. He has also been seen as Doc Brown and Groucho Marx at Universal Orlando and Host of Nickelodeon's Game Lab.
